IGW India celebrates National Safety Week

1 April, 2022

Every year on March 4th, India celebrates National Safety Day. This day was called to life to raise awareness around safety protocols, health and the environment. On this day, a lot of programs are rolled out in working places all around India to help people aim for a safe working environment. Of course, IGW India also celebrated National Safety Day. We even made it a full week with various activities on the program where safety was the main focus.

In traditional fashion, the week started on March 4th with the flag hoisting of the national safety flag outside of the IGW India building. Other activities included competitions, such as quizzes and a poster competition, safety courses and more. Since Woman’s day is celebrated during the national safety week, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to also celebrate our female employees.

National Safety Week is the perfect time to make our employees aware of the possible dangers that come with working in and around a shop floor. This is why a fire safety course was included in the program.

And in the spirit of a healthy working environment, IGW set up a medical center during the week. Here, employees could voluntarily donate blood, but also receive a tetanus vaccination.

We’re happy to help raise awareness around safety in a working environment and work towards the safest working environment possible with and for our employees. We’re even more thrilled to be able to do this in a very enjoyable and celebratory way.
